More
world championships have been won with Dedenbear's famous "Bear Stop" than all
other makes combined! The throttle stop used by NHRA world champs Sheldon Gecker,
Steve Cohen, Vince Khouray, David Rampy and Dan DiVita allows any bracket or heads-up
"Super" racer to consistently dial in any desired E.T.
The
Bear Stop can be activated using a pushbutton shifter or
electric timer.
Use
the provided pushbutton shifter switch that attaches behind the shift lever that
is "on" (full throttle) in low gear, and "off" (closed throttle) in high gear.
Using
an electronic timer (throttle stop controller) the
controller replaces the shifter switch and the timer turns the throttle stop off
and on as the car goes down the track.
- In either
method the throttle stop can be overidden allowing you to "run a guy down"
on the top end by manually pushing an override switch.

Bear Stop's electric solenoid opens and closes instantaneously, and draws only
1 amp at wide open throttle.
Nothing
attaches to your throttle linkage, so the Bear Stop eliminates the dangerous possibilities
of a stuck throttle. Dedenbear even installs plugs at the open shaft ends to prevent
vacuum leaks.
As
veteran racers, Dedenbear engineers understand that Holley carburetors like to
run wide open.
The
latest trend is to build mega-horsepower engines with Dominator carburetors to
give high MPH top end charges. For maximum horsepower and consistency, Dedenbear
has developed the "Big Bore" TS5 throttle stop.

- Massive 2-1/8"
throttle bores, 1:1 primary/secondary linkage, and an optional CO2 actuator that
controls the butterfly opening and closing rates, this is the most advanced throttle
stop ever made.
- The
new CO2 actuator (p/n TS2/5R) is designed to
prevent breaking the tires loose when the stop turns on and off and can even be
used to retrofit existing TS2 throttle stops (Dominator stop with 2" bores).
- Optional
primary butterfly kits allow shutting down all
four holes.

All Dedenbear linkage style throttle stops come with a needle valve adjuster to
control the opening rate of the throttle stop, quick disconnect fittings, stainless
steel solenoid & cylinder, high temperature seals, and have all steel parts plated
for corrosion resistance.

STANDARD LINKAGE STOP Economical
general purpose in-line linkage stop for carbs or injectors. 3/4” bore, 2” stroke
cylinder works well with single carbs and throttle body injectors. Includes Chrome
moly adjustment bolts for maximum durability.
- TS-20
LONG STROKE BIG BORE LINKAGE STOP
All the same features as the popular TS10 plus a larger 7/8” bore,
2 1/2” stroke cylinder. The bigger bore and longer stroke make this stop ideal
for starting line control, dual carbs or bird catcher injectors.

Since
the Bear Stop uses its own set of secondary butterflies to regulate air/fuel flow,
your carburetor operates at full throttle throughout the run. Fuel metering always
remains correct, and weather changes can be compensated for predictably. (An
optional Primary Butterfly Kit is available with a second set of butterflies and
linkage.)
Adjusting
the Bear Stop is simple.
An indexed
stop bolt lets you easily make precise and repeatable settings. Using a throttle
stop controller to activate the stop results in even more accurate E.T. adjustments.
